Step 1

Your first step is to disassemble a glue stick or similar small-cylinder container. To remove the insides, snap off the bottom twist. You may need pliers to assist you. Once the bottom twist is off, remove the rotating bar and any remaining glue inside. Discard the insides and bottom twist; however, save the cap for the Q-pick Blowgun (page 111).

On the open side of the small cylinder, use a hobby knife to cut two small slits on each side, about ¼ inch apart. Then bend the plastic flaps between the two cuts inward, toward each other. This groove will hold the rubber band in place.
